Your privacy matters to me, and I apply the same standards to your data as I would expect for my own.
This policy describes the data I hold, why I hold it and how long for. It contains links to the privacy policies of the various service providers that help me run my business.

What information do I collect?
I collect the following data when you buy items from me in person, if you send me customer enquiries, or if you consent to going on my mailing list. This data consist of your name, email address, and sometimes your real address for delivery purposes.
If you purchase from me online using Etsy, Artfinder, or from directly me using Paypal, those service providers collect additional details while processing payment. I do not have access to those payment details.
When despatching items that have been ordered online, I need access to your name and address, and this will be shared with postal/delivery service providers.
If you look at my website, my website provider WordPress may collect data via cookies etc. I do not have any additional data collection facility on my website.
How do I use personal information?
I use your information primarily to process orders and arrange delivery or collection of items you have purchased from me.
I retain details of sales I have made, which I am required to do for tax purposes.
With your consent, I use your name and email address when sending you Newsletters about events or special officers.
Will I share your personal data?
I will not share your details with any other organisation, other than for essential services as described above.

How do I secure your personal data?
Most of your data is secured by the providers below. I do not hold personal data on my computer or home devices. If you have purchased artwork from me at an Open Studio I will have paper receipts which I store securely at home.
How long do I keep your personal data for?
For tax purposes, I am obliged to keep sales receipts for 7 years. If you wish me to redact some of the information on the receipt I will do this on request.
For my newsletter mailing list, I will keep your data until you unsubscribe.
For all other purposes (ie other correspondence) I will keep your data for 1 year after that correspondence concluded. For example, if a commission took 3 months to complete, I would keep all the correspondence for 1 year from completion, except where I need to retain it for tax purposes.

Paper correspondence will be destroyed before disposal.
What legal basis do we have for processing your personal data?
For sending out Newsletters we have your consent.
In order to supply you with goods and services, you have entered a contract with us which requires us to process your personal data.
I have a legal obligation to retain information required by the Inland Revenue.
Your rights in relation to personal data
At any time you can ask me to tell you what data I hold, and amend it or ask me to delete it, subject to my own legal obligations regarding tax etc. I will respond to these requests within 1 month. You can also lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office
